Randy Munton Makes the Difference

Ellendale residents witnessed recognition and praise for one of their own at the Neighborhood Association meeting on November 9th.

Randy Munton, owner and operator of the 7-Eleven located at the corner of Southwest and McCausland Avenues, was recognized along with his store by Abbott EMS for continued hospitality towards and support of Abbott’s crews and staff.

Tracey Swabby, of Abbott EMS, asked the Association for a few moments before Monday’s meeting to present the special recognition.

“The recognition presented to my 7-Eleven by Tracey was a pleasant surprise!” Randy said. “I am so blessed to have such thoughtful and caring friends at Abbott EMS.”

The award reads:

You Make the Difference

We recognize Randy Munton for always welcoming our crew members into your establishment. Your leadership has created a very strong team and our staff enjoys patronizing your establishment because of that strength and customer service.

For always supporting efforts made by Abbott EMS and for supporting our EMTS & Medics.

We Thank You!

The framed certificate is signed by Mark L. Corley, General Manager, and Tracey Swabby, Business Development Manager.

And Randy has nothing but praise for Abbott EMS as well. Pointing to their website (www.abbottems.org), Randy recited, ‘A Clinical Save occurs when a patient who has lost vital signs regains them because of pre-hospital emergency medical care. This year Abbott honored crews for 55 saves which occurred in calendar year 2014.’

“That is an incredible number of saved lives,” Randy adds. “We are fortunate to have these life saving professionals as our neighbor.”

Randy feels the ambulance crews are supported by a management team that is second to none. “It has been our pleasure to support management in the form gift cards and coupons that are used to reward their employees.”

Along with the praise and certificate, Rand was presented with a cake decorated simply with Abbott's sincerest praise, “Randy Rocks!”
